The FCX (Fire Control Extreme) combines the two most revolutionary rest technologies into the shooting industries most advanced shooting rest. By combining the great recoil reduction benefits of the Lead Sled principal along with the groundbreaking performance of the Fire Control mechanism, ultimate accuracy and precision are combined into one rest.

As with other Lead Sled models, recoil energy is capturing and efficiently reduced from any rifle or shotgun through the frame system, to the weights placed in the weight tray. It effectively eliminating as much as 95% of felt recoil making shooting much more enjoyable and enhances accuracy by preventing flinching and promoting smooth trigger control.

Caldwell's Fire Control mechanism is an advanced rest adjustment system that is controlled by a joystick-style control system. The Control System can be moved in any direction to precisely align the scope reticle and when it is released it secures the gun in that exact position. This precise alignment of scope to target, ensures the shooter to be perfectly relaxed when squeezing the trigger, unlike regular rests that require pulling, pushing or leaning into the rifle or shotgun to gain that needed alignment.
